No offers of securities or credit

RaisingMoney.com isn't a broker-dealer, funding portal, investment adviser or lender. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security, and nothing here is an offer of credit.

Funding matches and introductions

The funding matcher suggests kinds of funding to research, based on your answers. It isn't an application, a pre-approval or an offer, and lenders and investors make their own decisions. If you tick the introduction box, we may share your request with lenders, advisers or platforms we work with. The form tells you that some partners pay us a referral fee, and we email you the name of every partner that receives your request and whether it pays us. Any agreement you make is between you and that partner.

Raise pages

Founders write their own raise pages, and we review them before they're published. Public pages must not advertise the terms of a securities offering or promise returns. An offering to the general public must be made through an SEC-registered funding portal or broker-dealer. We may decline, edit, hide or remove any page.

Accredited-investor features and syndicates

Private offering details and syndicate deal rooms are available only to members we've approved as accredited investors. You're responsible for the truth of your certification. Anything you indicate in a deal room is a non-binding indication of interest, not a commitment, a subscription or an investment. Every investment is made only through that deal's own legal documents, outside this site. We don't hold or transfer money or securities. Private investments are risky and illiquid, and you could lose your entire investment.

Accounts and Pro

Keep your password secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. Pro is a subscription billed by Stripe, which you can cancel any time from your account. It takes effect at the end of the paid period. Pro never buys an introduction, an investment or a guaranteed outcome.

Investor directory

Investor profiles are submitted by the investors (or with their consent) and reviewed by us before they're listed. We don't verify every statement in a profile and we don't endorse any investor. Do your own diligence. If you submit a listing, you confirm you're authorised to list that investor and that the information is accurate.

Accuracy

We work hard to be accurate (see our editorial standards), but we can't guarantee that every article is complete or current. Rules and market practice change.

Your comments

When you post a comment, you confirm it's your own and lawful, and you give us permission to display it on this site. Comments are moderated. We may decline, edit for length or remove any comment.
